Public Resources, Accessibility & Safety.
Accessible Healthcare.Healthcare is a human right that all people should have access to. When I was 17 years old, my mother was diagnosed with stage three sinus cancer as well as lung cancer. Her case was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, for proton radiation treatment and chemotherapy.
My mother is alive and well today. But the insurance out-of-pocket maximums forced me to max out my undergraduate student loans. I continue to pay for them today. I firmly believe no one should have to go into debt to get the care they need to survive. |
Funding Public Schools.I grew up in Burnsville and am a proud Echo Park Penguin alum. I have consistently attended public schools, from pre-K to my Master's degree. I want to strengthen District 191 and District 196 by ensuring that:

Public Transportation. In Minnesota, a car is a necessity. Minnesotans should have a choice. Public transportation is better for the environment, more cost-effective, and provides a method of transportation for individuals who cannot drive. I grew up riding the local MVTA bus, using the service regularly at age 14 to get to work. I support funding the Orange Line to Downtown Minneapolis as well as the MVTA program serving the residents of the South Metro.

Ending Gun Violence.I grew up practicing lockdown drills in high school after school shootings surged in the 2010s. In 2025, Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman, along with her husband, Mark, and their dog Gilbert, were brutally assassinated in their home on June 14. A few months later, the lives of two children were taken in the mass shooting at Annunciation Church. The time to act was yesterday. We must keep our children, our neighbors, and our loved ones safe in this state we call home.
